We finally got a deeper look Lords of the Fallen reboot with the reveal of new gameplay footage and so far it does not disappoint.
CI Games showed its latest trailer Lords of the Fallen at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2023 and it was three minutes of pure Souls and RPG style beauty.
As a reboot of the original game of the same name from 2014, fans of Lords of the Fallen will enjoy something familiar. However, that doesn’t mean everything will be the same. Souls-style RPG fans should be excited for all that’s to come in this dark fantasy world.
Taking place 1,000 years after the story of the first title, the interconnected world features two parallel realms, the living and the dead. Each world contains unique paths, characters, enemies, and most importantly, treasures. You’ll be able to explore and manipulate the world around you, delve into that world’s history, and take part in shockingly epic boss battles.
A new gameplay footage showed off some of these brutal boss fights. There is a gigantic monstrosity that looms over burning cities with razor-like claws, a dedicated chaplain of holy guardians wielding a mighty scepter, and a tragic fallen knight clad in bloody silver armor. Each one looks more terrifying and bloodthirsty than the next, and will no doubt give players more trouble when it comes to defeating them in combat. But what more could you want from a Souls-like?
Lords of the Fallen will be released on October 13, 2023 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the dark fantasy RPG is available for pre-order now. If you’re a fan of the best RPGs, this might be the best way to end 2023.
